I'm going to a birthday party this weekend for a 10 year old girl and I only have $10 with which to get her a birthday present. What is a nice gift for a 10 year old girl in that price range?

I'm anti-bratz so please suggest other gift ideas. Thanks
futuretopgunn101: I don't know her all that well. She's my husband's niece and she lives about 2 hours away. I don't have a phone number for my sister in law in order to ask her.

i really think books are the best present to give. if you have an idea of what she likes, you could get her a book along the lines of something she's particularly interested in. otherwise, there are great books for that age that you can choose from --just some quick suggestions would be "Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism," by Georgia Byng, or "Mandy," by Julie Andrews Edwards or one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books for kids or preteens. I just think books are such a great gift!!
