Please, please, don't get her anything baby related for her birthday. When it's time for the baby shower, get her something for the baby...meanwhile, it's her birthday, so celebrate her!

I might suggest a massage...Many day spa's offer pregnancy massages, which (a) allow her to relax in a way that doesn't interfere with her belly, and (b) will help to relax the muscles that get really sore when a woman is pregnant.

Alternately, there's always the things that the rest of us want, even when we're not pregnant...Diamonds or pearls are always nice! :)

What is the proper way to go about asking a woman I have just recently started dating what she wants for her birthday? Luckily I know what I am getting for my grandmother for Christmas (a tie blanket that i made), but the others are tough. My first sister, brother, mom, and best friend are the hardest.

My sister is graduating from college in like a week so I need help with that too. For her, I was thinking that I would buy a sweet sister photo frame that I found on Amazon and put a picture of us two in it and give it to her. I don't know if that should be her graduation present or Christmas present but either way I need to buy it soon for it to get here in time. For her birthday a couple months ago, I made her a card and wrote a letter that made her cry (she is really emotional). I want he to know how much I care about her, but I donât want to make her cry again. I want ALL of my Christmas presents to be meaningful, and I am willing to spend some money but I am only a 15 year old girl and donât have a ton. My sister is 23 and she means to world to me.

My other sister is older and is married with a two year old girl and four year old boy (I love those kids sooooo much!) but I am not sure if I will buy her anything for reasons I would rather not post. I love her, but I don't know if I can find a real meaningful gift for her because of some stupid and selfish things she has done, but if you have any ideas, please be my guest! (NO GIFTCARDS WHAT-SO-EVER!)

I know what my parents are getting me for Christmas (oops) and i kind of feel bad about it. I really want it, but I donât know what to give back. I am the youngest, so i hate to admit it but i am kind of spoiled. I feel like my parents spend more than is necessary on me and i really want to show my appreciation to them My mom loves aggot hunting and rocks and fossils and all of that stuff. (We want to go to Madagascar one day lol) My mom says that she wants a rock cutter or polisher or tumbler or something but they are expensive so I might be able to split it with my sister but she is pretty poor with her boyfriend since they are only just graduating from college, and my mom may have already bought herself a rock tumbler or is planning to from the Christmas money she already got. I donât know but i want to find something meaningful and although that is something I know she really wants, it is not something I would usually buy especialy since I have virtually no way of getting it without her knowing unless I found the perfect thing and managed to get my sisterâs help.

My dad, his birthday is only in a little over a week so i am stuck. I might just make him a cake since he thinks everyone will forget about his birthday since it is sooo close to my sisterâs graduation, but for Christmas, I donât know. I love my dad but we have an odd, unbalanced relationship sort of like with my other sister. Maybe I will just give him a card with a meaningful saying or something. My dad rarely shows real emotion because of the way he grew up, but I wish I could make him. I feel that I owe my daddy in a way.

My brother is probably the toughest of all. He is 21, loves hunting and hanging out with friends. I really canât think of anything meaningful for his Christmas present.. He will be in Germany with one of friends for Christmas this year, but that doesnât mean that I donât want to get him anything. I wish that i had a better relationship with my brother and could spend more time with him, but he is never around. I would love to go skiing with him or something this winter, but I donât know if we will get the chance. He wais we could go last year but never did. We went togeather when I was in 7th and 8th grade with school and that was really the last time I got to spend a lot of time with him. His stuff lives at home, but he lives with his friends closer to his school. I am usually home alone with my parents since all of my siblings have pretty much moved out. He is one of those guys that has a lot of energy but, thankfully, is using it in a productive way by shooting deer and become a cop to help society's fight against crime. I want my brother to know how much I do love him and miss him. I get a hug from him every chance that i get, but it just does not feel like enough. My brother is crazy, but I love him and miss him, and just want a present that will show it in one way or another.

Last but not least, my best friend. Because of drama in our school, we have become better friends than ever this year. Maybe I should just give her a gift card (she is the only exception) but I donât know if that would even be good enough. It feels incomplete on my part. I donât know. For reasons unspoken, she is tough to buy for. I do want to give her something meaningful, but I really donât know what.

I am sorry that this is so long, but I really want this to be a special Christmas.

Yes, this is the original Fantasy Fudge recipe from the back of the Kraft Marshmallow Creme jar. We'll never know why they changed the recipe on us, but we've preserved the recipe for you right here.

3 cups sugar
3/4 cup margarine
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 12-oz. (340 g) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 7-oz. (198 g) jar Kraft Marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Traditional method:
Combine sugar, margarine and milk in heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan; bring to full rolling bail, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate till melted. Add marshmallow creme, nuts & vanilla; beat until blended. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Let cool and cut into 1-inch squares.

Microwave method:
Microwave margarine in 4-quart microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) 1 minute or until melted. Add sugar and milk; mix well. Microwave on HIGH 5 minutes or until mixture begins to boil, stirring after 3 minutes. Mix well; scrape bowl. Continue microwaving on HIGH 5-1/2 minutes; stir after 3 minutes. Stir in chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares. Makes 3 pounds.

Note: Can be made in a smaller pan for thicker squares (yield will be reduced).

Well, depending on her personality, you could look on sites like the Bath and Body works to get her body spray, lotions, and the like. Or you could also go to a site for a store she likes and get her a gift card.

If she's a media buff, you could get her movie tickets to a movie she's been wanting to see, or throw a surprize sleep-over for her, and you can watch movies in. I loved that for my b-day present.

If she's a tech buff, get on Newegg.com and look for the latest stuff for cell phones and stuff :p or look for online games she might like.

If you can't end up figuring out what to do, just put some money on a gift card for your local mall and go on a shopping spree w/her.

My friend and I are planning a special birthday gift for our 30th birthday and we are wanting to take a cruise. Just an idea (and it costs about the same):

Consider a week at an all-inclusive resort** in Mexico on the Yucatan peninsula. [the Mayan Riviera, Cancun down to Tulum.] You can lay around in the sun and drink all day*, do casual activities, go swimming, etc; or take tours and see the famous sights and do some adventurous activities.

Cruising is very nice, but 3/4 of the time you are on the boat, and then you get to a port, get off, look around, maybe do a little something (which is not much unless you can afford the expensive activities) and then you get back on the boat. An "all-inclusive" is like a cruise ship, except on land, and you have lots of time to experience the area, and enjoy the experience.

{Some people swear by the all-inclusives on the Pacific side. Each has its own tropical experience, so you need to get info and make a choice.} There is also Hawaii !!!

** you can pick one to suit whatever style you want; including no kids, "relaxed" dress code on the beach, one that has on campus restaurants that appeal to you, a quiet place, a party place,,,,,

For a milestone birthday for my now husband, I arranged a limousine to pick him up with his favourite cold beers and had him dropped to the harbour where we took a harbour cruise together before dinner with friends. He loved it and will always remember it because it was an experience.

It is my Grandmas Birthday in November and she will be 90. She still drives, is totally with it, drinks, dances, she is 90 going on about 75. Are there any like hidden tips or tricks that not EVERYONE knows about. Any info would be great! We are very excited to go to Disney!

Should we buy things (as souvenirs) from the parks, Downtown Disney, or the outlet Disney store we have here (would it save money)?
They are going to get birthday pins, since it's their birthday.

I have my 12 year old daughter here with me to answer the question. Our advice:

--Go into Disney knowing it is NOT a thrill ride park. Most of the fun is in the experience. Make sure to take in the shows, not just get on rides.

--Buy the souvenirs at the park, it isn't really a souvenir if you get it from a home outlet store. Oh when you buy them at the park, if you are staying at a Disney property hotel, they will deliver them to your hotel.If you are off property they will send them to the front gate so you can pick them up on your way out. So no worries about having to carry the stuff :-)

--As far as outfits if you all do the same color it is easier to keep track of each other in the crowd.

--When checking into your on property hotel (or when arriving at park from your off property hotel) make sure you get your "first time visit" pins. When the cast members (what Disney calls all their employees) see that you are first time guests they try to make the visit a little more special for you. In an event in the USA part of the world park, we got to play the president and his family and got balcony seats for the show. Also they might bump you to the front of ride lines, or give you discounts on food etc. You never know what they may do for you with the pins :-)

--If you are staying on property you get special early/late hours. Make sure you take advantage of this time and ride the rides. There is little to no wait time in the lines during these special hours.

--Have the kids save up any and all money (maybe even have them politely write a letter to family requesting spending money for the trip for the holidays--this will be easier for the gift givers, no wrapping and no shipping costs) Then let them have free reign on what they spend with their own money. There are so many awesome things to buy, yummy treats that it gets tiring saying "no" to everything. Our kids saved for two years (writing to family as I suggested) and got enough for $50 a day per kid for every day of our trip (they also pooled their money cause they are awesome kids :-) I would buy them one ice cream/treat a day, beyond that they would buy their own soda, treats and gifts. If I saw a toy/item that I wanted them to have, I still bought it. But I hate to say "no" on vacation, so this made it more fun for everyone.

--The lines are the worst from about lunch to dinner time, so plan to do the rides first thing in the morning or late in the evening and during the day, do the shows or walk around and enjoy the lovely environment.

--My daughter suggests the Tower of Terror and The Yeti ride as the best rides to make sure you enjoy. If you go to the Tower of Terror, look for Danny the cast member. He makes the ride much more enjoyable, he is a great actor.

--If we had more time we'd think of more things...

--If you happen to be a military family, ask this question again, I have more tips that are specific to military families.

It's easy to make your own cupcake. Just find the recipe in the web. Or, I think journal is a great idea! Make your own. Use scrapbook paper for the cover and some paper, bind it with ribbon, fill it with stickers and pictures, oh and printout of the little kid stuff. Another good thing is bookmark. You can make your own by using card stock, ribbon, and pictures. It's all your own, but make sure it's handmade and of course, cute.

Make the gift yourself can get her more love the stuff. It works on me.

If you would rather go down the motorcycling route then find out if she reads a particualr magazine and buy her a subscription for it. You should check out this website. I know it looks like it's for athletes, but you can get a poster made up for anything. They did a really nice job on one I had made for my grandpa. You can just upload pics of you and your sister. It's nice too because they can stick and restick to the wall, and it's also something you could mail easily to her since she lives far away.

It's definitely something unique and sentimental. Better than jewelry she'll rarely wear! Good luck
