Ok to put birthday gift ideas for 2yr old on invites?

Our son's 2nd birthday is coming up and we're getting him a train/car table to play on, he LOVES trains, cars, etc. Is it ok on the bottom of the invites to put something along the lines of (child's name) loves trains, cars & dinosaurs! to give guests (most of which is family) ideas. They tend to ask anyway so I thought this might help?
I got quite the variety of answers..LOL We tried the registry thing before with my daughter a few years ago & only 1 person got something off it so we won't bother with that again. My son is SOO not picky so it's not really about him getting something he doesn't like but more just to give people ideas if they need them. That and we're getting him the table so it'd be great to have things to play on it with. His invites and entire theme are Tonka trucks so I'm sure people would get the idea from that..think I'll let them take the hint from there or get what they want. I just wish more people would give gift receipts or buy form places that aren't so strict about returns. We had a big problem with that my daughter's last b-day so we just donated them. I sent my e-mail along with "any questions" and most people that responded wanted to know what the boys liked to play.. It worked out really well and we didn't have much to return.. Also, a gift receipt helps a lot when returning.. If someone asks for a list give them some ideas... Good luck

16th birthday gift ideas for my best friend! Help!?

My best friends 16th birthday is coming up, we've been best friends for almost 5 years and I want her gift to be something awesome but not too expensive. Nothing like a picture frame with a cute picture of us or a scrapbook or anything like that, that's too common. I need a cute idea, hope you all can help!

You could get her a subscription to a gift package service. She'll get a fun surprise package in the mail each month and each time its full of exciting surprises!

The name of the company is fair ivy surprise package subscriptions. i get them from my friend and love them :) I love waiting for mail....plus it feels like she's giving me a gift every month!
