Are there alternate places to go outside your doctors office to determine gender?

So i am switching doctors and between the two visits its going to be a long time before i can get the ultrasound where you find out the gender. Is there places you can go to find out the gender on a private basis. If there are what other ways can you figure out the gender? I heard maybe a blood test can tell you? This is my first baby and my husband wanted his gift this year for his birthday to find out the gender of our baby. Im just clueless to the whole thing anyone have any ideas?

Just go to yellowpages.com and type in sonogram. That's what I did to find a clinic in my area that does 3D/4D sonograms. For $150 we got a 30 minute sono of our little boy along with a DVD and pictures to bring home. If your just looking for 2D they are a little cheaper. Baby cooperating, they will tell you the gender.

We just moved in together about a week ago.
We have been together for three years.
His birthday is the 10th, the only bad thing is that I will be at the doctors basically all day on his birthday until that night.

He's will be 27.....He talks about that modern warfare new game coming out...i really can't afford it but I was going to give him 20 dollars towards it.

Any better ideas?

Put together a movie night themed gift basket. Go find a medium size basket from Goodwill, Go to dollar store/Wal-Mart and load up basket with: Microwave popcorn, Sodas, Candy and DVD.
