How do you make a child themed party fun for adults?

I am planning my daughter's first birthday party, either a princess or hawaiian-florally theme. I can find many things for children to keep them entertained, but not for adults. I want the adults to enjoy the party as well. Any gift bags or games etc ideas would be helpful....
I meant about the gift bags: What kind of goodies could I provide for the adults, as well as children in them? Games: I meant for the children...I had a thought about the older children making playdoe flowers for the floral party...

If you go for a Hawaiian-florally theme here are a few games for kids and adults:

Limbo
Have limbo contests one for the adults and one for kids.

Tacky Tourist Relay (again could be one for adults and one for kids)
Put together two similar, but not identical sets of "tourist gear" containing items like a beach hat, sunglasses, lei, hula skirt, shorts, aloha shirt or muumuu, flip flops, snorkel, pail and shovel, camera on a strap, etc.

Divide guests into two teams. Everyone begins at a start/finish line. First person runs to the pile of tourist gear, put on one item, then run back to start/finish line and passes the item on the second person. Once the second person has the tourist gear on they run down to the pile and put on another item, run back to start/finish and pass both items the next person. Each person takes a turn until the first person wearing ALL the tourist gear and crosses the start/finish line. Take LOTS of pictures. ï

Make Volcanoes
This is good for kids or adult kids. Make volcanoes out of modeling clay. Then in the center (a deep whole in the middle) add baking soda and pour in some vinegar to create an "eruption"!

What is a good birthday party theme for a combined boy and girl 2nd birthday party?

I would like something so that my daughter still has something girly. I like the idea of mickey and minnie but we used minnie last year. I want them to each have a character of their gender.

Wonder pets
polka dots and stripes

Food
mostly for adults some for toddlers

Pizza dip
fruit and dip (cool whip, strawberry yogurt, cream cheese mixed together)
goldfish
olives, cherry tomatoes, and baby carrots arranged on tray to make elmos face
cheese and grapes on skewers
Queso dip
pizza
Hot dogs
chips
dip
pretzels
baby carrots in cups of ranch for individual servings
finger sandwiches cut in shapes with cookie cutters to match theme (bone, fish, butterfly,)

Dollar store has tons of stuff to create fairies, princesses, super heros, and balloons.
