I received a leather lamb skin portfolio from my now ex many years ago, she bought it at an upscale leather shop in the mall.....I was kinda upset at what she paid for it, but she said it would last forever and I would think of her whenever I used it........she was correct on both instances, I forget exactly what year I received it ,but its over 10 years old(12-13 I think, maybe older) and still looks brand new,even though I take it everywhere I go....and I still think of her every time I hold it........it is the most practical and meaningful gift I've ever gotten.

We have been together for well over a year, hes all about vehicles..those are his "main priority". I attempted to get him HID headlights for one of his vehicles, but he already bought them. I already got him a 30$ gift card to gore mountain ski resort but I want him to be able to open something. Attempted to get him shoes he wanted and they are sold out everywhere, he wont wear a chain or a watch; im sick of buying him clothes. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP..he's 20 years old

Men are so difficult to buy for! When choosing a gift for my boyfriend, I pay close attention to his interests (sports and video games) and I also am not afraid to ask him for some ideas too.
What to get him also depends on your budget, so I will recommend some inexpensive ideas too.
No matter what you get him, include a card or a letter where you write how much he means to you and how happy he makes you. I have done this each year for my boyfriend at Christmas and on his birthday and I discovered this past summer that he has a special box in the closet where he saves each of these letters and cards. :)
I also try to bake my boyfriend a special treat each birthday and Christmas. For his birthday, I make him his favourite brownies. For Christmas, I make his favourite cookies.
In terms of buying a Christmas gift, I have made a "movie date" gift basket before that he really enjoyed. I bought a DVD of a movie he really wanted to see, I bought some of his favourite candy, I included the Christmas cookies I baked and the letter I wrote, and some popcorn. We watched the movie together and enjoyed the treats and had a really nice "at home" date.
Here are some other gift ideas that I have used in the past:
1. Tickets for the two of you to a local basketball or hockey game
2. Some magazines that coincide with his interests
3. Clothing
4. Restaurant gift cards or movie gift cards for a date night
5. A jersey for his favourite team
6. Video games
7. iTunes gift card
8. Board game (like Things in a Box)
9. I made my boyfriend a scrap book and he loved it. I had his friends sign it too.
10. A gift card to a store he likes
11. A gym bag
